Did my nagging about your cameras finally pay off? :)
I kind of expected you to get something that also shoots video, but hey, getting one of the best still cameras on the market works too, and this is probably the one best suited for what you do. Great choice, and the kit lens should do fine for now. Just keep in mind that you can always get a 50mm/1.8 lens for around 10k yen used and really see what your camera is capable of.
ps. It's no fun if you strip the EXIF data from the photos...
